About Attorney Peter Tinsley
My wife Amanda and I moved to Oregon when she was accepted to the OSU Veterinary Medicine program. After she graduated, I went to Mt. Hood Community College and then Portland State University where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. After college I began working for Cascadia Behavioral Health care where I worked with clients suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. After a few years of working in the field of mental health, it became apparent to me that my skills were not being fully utilized, and Amanda and I began to talk about other potential career options. Based on her excellent advice, I took the LSAT, received several scholarship offers, and a short time later was enrolled at the Lewis and Clark School of Law. In law school I worked with the Multnomah County District Attorney as a misdemeanor prosecutor, and I was awarded Best Oralist in my Mock Trial class.
In the years since graduation, I have had the privilege of representing clients in a wide variety of matters, including criminal defense, commercial and residential real estate matters, contract negotiations, and immigration. Though I have practiced in many areas of law, I have maintained a focus on those areas with high litigation potential. While many find the prospect of going to court daunting, I find the opportunity to take my client's matter before a judge or a jury exhilarating. It is my great pleasure and honor to be a part of the Murphy Law Group, and I look forward to being able to bring my passion, drive, and commitment to bear for our landlord clients.
